This Privacy Policy describes how the Orem YSA 5th Ward (“we,” “us,” or “the Ward”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our text messaging (SMS) program.

We collect your mobile phone number and name when you provide them through our sign-up form, along with a record of your consent to receive text messages.

2. How we use your information

We use your phone number solely to send you text messages related to ward life — including appointment reminders, prayer requests, and ward announcements. We use your name only to personalize those messages.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use a third-party messaging provider solely to deliver the messages you have requested; information is shared with that provider only as needed to send those messages.

4. Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

5. Opting out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, we will stop sending you text messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.

6. Data retention

We retain your phone number and consent record for as long as you remain opted in. If you opt out, we remove your number from our active sending list.
